We added a 24/7 live news stream to Max with the launch of CNN Max. This new service is available to all Max subscribers for no additional cost. CNN Max is targeted to US audiences and features live news and select programming created just for Max.

To watch live news:

In Max, choose News (top of screen) and then the live news show.
On the Max Home screen, find the Brand Spotlight row, choose CNN Max and then the live news show.

CNN Max is a custom schedule of CNN programming just for Max subscribers.

CNN Max features notable CNN anchors, including Anderson Cooper, Erin Burnett, Wolf Blitzer, Christiane Amanpour, Jake Tapper, and many more familiar faces. For more info, go to max.com/channel/cnn-max.

Can I control playback during live news?

No. When you're watching the live news stream, pause, rewind, and restart from the beginning aren't available.

To turn closed captions on or off, choose the Audio and Subtitles icon speech bubble in the video player. Closed captions for the live news stream are slightly delayed. To find out how to change the caption styling (e.g. font and size), go to Subtitles, captions, and audio.

Is CNN Max different from CNN TV channels?

Yes. CNN Max is only available on Max.

How can I stream live CNN TV channels?

Do I have to pay more for CNN Max?

CNN Max is available at no extra charge to Max subscribers with any Max plan (With Ads, Ad-Free, and Ultimate).

Are CNN Originals still available on Max?

Yes. The CNN Max 24/7 live stream is in addition to the CNN Originals available on Max. There are over 900 episodes of CNN Original Series and CNN Films on Max, including 'Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?,' 'The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper,' and 'Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown' (Seasons 1-12).

Will CNN Max have ads?

When the live stream includes programming from a CNN channel, you'll either see ads from the channel or an ad break screen in lieu of the ads. Programming created just for Max doesn't have ads.

The News beta will let our team experiment with product features and content. With input from our Max community, we can optimize the News experience for Max subscribers.
