Manage your Max devices
When someone in your household signs in on a device with your account, Max adds the device to your account. The number of devices you can stream on at the same time depends on your subscription plan.
Manage devices using your account
To review the devices that are currently signed in to your account:
- Sign in to Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
- Choose your profile, then Account > Devices.
(Only Adult profiles can manage devices.) - Here you'll find a list of devices signed in to your account, including the profile name, sign-in date, and country.
If you don't recognize a device, we recommend changing your password. For more info, go to Stop unwanted use of your account.
Devices are automatically added to the device list when you sign in (and are removed when you sign out). We recommend signing out of devices that your household no longer uses.
When someone in your household signs in with your account, Max adds the device to your account.
To add a device to your account, install the Max app and sign in.
If you no longer own or use a device, you can remove the device from your account by signing out. You need to sign out of devices used by people who don't live with you.
Here's how:
- Sign in to Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
- Choose your profile, then Account > Devices.
(Only Adult profiles can manage devices.) - Choose the X beside the device you want to sign out of.
Note If someone in your household is streaming, they won't be signed out of Max until the end of their show or movie.
If you think someone might have access to your Max account without your permission, we recommend signing out of all devices. Here's how:
- Sign in to Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
- Choose your profile, then Account > Devices.
(Only Adult profiles can manage devices.) - Choose Sign Out All Devices.
Note If someone in your household is streaming, they won't be signed out of Max until the end of their show or movie.
In Max, do one of the following:
- Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile (upper right) and then Sign Out.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon and then Sign Out.
