Activate your Max Subscription
New subscription? If you recently signed up for Max (or HBO) through an internet, mobile, or TV provider, you need to activate Max before you can start streaming Max.
Here's what you need to do:
Step 1: Activate Max
When you sign up through an internet, mobile, or TV provider, your provider will give you instructions on how to activate Max. If you don't have activation instructions, choose your provider below or contact them for help activating Max. (Your provider is who you signed up for Max through).
HKBN subscribers
Here's how to activate your Max subscription:
- Once you subscribe to Max through HKBN, watch your inbox for an email from HKBN confirming your Max subscription.
- Open the My HKBN app and sign in to your HKBN account.
- Go to the Message Center.
- Choose Activate and follow the prompts to create or link to your Max account.

Cignal Super subscribers
Here's how to activate your Max subscription:
- Open the Cignal Super app (or go to cignalsuper.com/login) and sign in to your Cignal Super account.
- Choose a Max show to watch.
- Install the Max app (if prompted).
- Follow the prompts to create your Max account.
Now you're ready to start streaming on any plan-supported device.

Kbro subscribers
Here's how to activate your Max subscription:
- Once you subscribe to Max through Kbro, watch for an email or text message from Kbro.
- Open the message from Kbro and choose Activate your Max account.
- Follow the prompts to create or link to your Max account.
Now you can sign in with your Max account and stream on any plan-supported device.

Here's how to activate your Max subscription:
- Install the TrueVisions NOW app.
- Sign in to your True account.
- On the home screen, find the 'Our Partners' row.
- Choose Max and then Go to App.
- Follow the prompts to create your Max account.
Now you're ready to start streaming on any plan-supported device.
Step 2: Set up your account
To create your Max account,
- On the Welcome to Max screen, enter your email address or mobile number (if available).
(If you previously had Max or HBO GO, follow the Returning subscribers steps below.) - Complete the Create Your Account form and choose Create Account. You’ll sign in with this info.
- Choose Start Streaming and you’re ready to stream.
Now you can sign in and stream Max on any plan-supported device. You can also add your mobile number or email address to your account as an additional sign-in method. To find out how, go to Change account info.
Singapore subscribers: If you're 21 or older, you'll be prompted to add a Profile PIN to your account. This PIN is required to access R21 content. For more info, go to Max Profile PIN.
To link your new subscription to your existing Max (or HBO GO) account, do the following:
- On the first Max screen, enter your Max (or HBO GO) account email or mobile number (if your account has a mobile number) and choose Continue.
- Check your inbox or mobile phone for an email or text message with a one-time code (email subject: Your One-Time Max Code).
- Enter the code from the email or text message.
- Confirm that you want to connect the subscription billed through your provider to your existing Max (or HBO GO) account.
- Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to stream.
Now you can sign in and stream Max on any plan-supported device. You can also add your mobile number or email address to your account as an additional sign-in method. To find out how, go to Change account info.
Didn't get the one-time code email?
- Search all of your inbox folders for an email from Max (including your Promotions, Junk, and Spam folder).
- Choose Get New Code on the enter code screen and check your email again.
Didn't get a text message?
You should get a new text message after entering your mobile number. If you didn't get a text message, try the following:
- Make sure the mobile number you entered is correct.
- Choose Get New Code to send another text message. You should get a new text message within a couple minutes.
- Make sure your phone can receive text messages (check your cell phone signal strength and make sure Airplane mode is turned Off).
- Make sure your phone is not set to block messages from unknown senders.
- Try restarting your phone.
Singapore subscribers: If you're 21 or older, you'll be prompted to add a Profile PIN to your account. This PIN is required to access R21 content. For more info, go to Max Profile PIN.

Troubleshooting
If you get this message, here are some things to try:
- Go back to your provider activation page, and try following the activate link again.
- Make sure that Max is included with your provider subscription.
If none of these help, please contact your provider for support.
Make sure Max is included with your internet, mobile, or TV package. To do this, sign in to your TV, internet, or wireless account on your provider's website and make sure Max is included. If this doesn't help, contact your internet, mobile, or TV provider for help.
If you get this message, there may already be a Max (or HBO GO) account with the email address you entered. Go back and enter your email address on the Welcome to Max screen and choose Continue (then sign in to this account).
