Can't reset Max password

If you're having trouble resetting your password, find your problem below:

Didn't get the email

When you reset your password, you should get a Max Password Reset email within a few minutes.

If you don't get a password reset email, try the following:

Search all inbox folders

First, search all inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam) for an email with the subject: Your Max Password Reset Link. The email is sent by Max (max@service.max.com).

Try another email address

A different email may be associated with your Max (or HBO GO) account.

Try the reset password steps again with another email address of yours. Here's how:

  1. Go to max.com/forgot-password.
  2. Enter another email address of yours and choose Submit. Forgot your account email?
  3. Wait a few minutes and check your inbox for a Max Password Reset email.
  4. Open the most recent Max Password Reset email and choose Reset Your Password.
  5. Enter a new password and choose Save. Reset link expired?

Now, sign in to Max with your account email and new password.

If you don't get a Max Password Reset email, try these steps for each of your email accounts.

Mistyped email or no longer have access?
If your account email has a typo or you no longer have access to your email, please contact us for help.
Find your account email in Settings

If you're signed in to Max on a device, here's how to find your account email:

  1. In Max, do one of the following:
    • Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile and then Account.
    • TV device: Choose the Settings icon cog (lower left) and then Account.
  2. Here you'll find your account email.

Now, to reset your password:

If you still don't get a password reset email, please contact us for help.

Link doesn't work

If the reset password link doesn't work, make sure you open the most recent Max Password Reset email you received. The subject for the password reset email includes the time: Your Max Password Reset Link as of < time >.

If this doesn't help, try using a different browser. Here's how:

  1. On a different computer, phone, or tablet, open the most recent Max Password Reset email that you received.
  2. Choose Reset Your Password.
  3. Enter a new password and choose Save.

If you still can't reset your password, please contact us for help.

Link expired

If you get an expired link message, try the following:

  • Make sure you open the most recent Max Password Reset email you received and choose Reset Your Password. The subject for the password reset email includes the time: Your Max Password Reset Link as of < time >.
  • Reset your password again (go to max.com/forgot-password and enter your account email).

Password reset links expire 24 hours after you request them, or when you request a new password.
