Resubscribe to Max

If you subscribed to Max or HBO Max in the past, here's how you can subscribe to Max using your existing account (this way you'll have your profiles, My List, and watch history).

Ways to resubscribe

Here are the ways you can resubscribe to Max:

Max.com

Here's how to resubscribe on the web:

  1. Go to max.com/login and sign in to your Max (or HBO Max) account. Can't sign in?
  2. On the Welcome Back screen, choose Sign Up Now.
  3. Choose a subscription plan and billing period, then continue.
  4. Add your payment method and start your subscription.
  5. Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to stream.

Now you can sign in and stream Max on all your favorite devices.

Max app

Here's how to resubscribe through an app store (e.g., Apple or Google):

  1. Open Max and sign in to your Max (or HBO Max) account. Can't sign in?
  2. Choose Renew Subscription.
  3. Choose a subscription plan and billing period.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to subscribe through the app store.
  5. Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to stream.

Now you can sign in and stream Max on all your favorite devices.

Internet, mobile, or TV provider

Here's how to resubscribe through a provider:

Step 1: Subscribe

Contact a provider and subscribe to Max (or HBO).

For a list of providers, go to Max providers. To find out which providers support plans, go to Which providers offer plans?

Step 2: Connect your provider

To connect your provider account (with your Max subscription) to your existing Max account, do the following:

  1. Open Max on your phone or tablet (or go to max.com on your computer).
  2. Sign in to your Max (or HBO Max) account.
  3. On the Welcome Back screen, choose Connect Your Provider.
  4. Choose your provider from the list (who you subscribed through above).
  5. Sign in to your provider account.
  6. Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

Now, you can sign in and stream Max on all your favorite devices.

Troubleshooting

Can't stream after resubscribing?

Try signing out and then back in again. Here's how:

  1. In Max, do one of the following:
    • Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile and then choose Sign Out.
    • TV device: Choose the Settings icon cog (lower left) and then Sign Out.
  2. Sign in to Max and try to watch something.
