When will my plan change take effect?
The effective date depends on the change:
- If you change to a lower-priced plan, your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
- If you change to a higher-priced plan, your plan change happens immediately. Google will give you a credit for the remaining time on your subscription and apply it to your new plan. Your next billing date will be adjusted once the credit is used.
If you're getting a 'Subscription Paused' message, it may be due to a payment error (or you may have paused your subscription).
- Payment error: To resume your subscription, update your payment method. To find out how, go to Google's Change payment method article.
- Paused subscription: To find out how to restart your paused subscription, go to Google's Change a Google Play subscription article.
