Change your account info
You can change your Max account info (email, password, and name) on your phone, tablet, or computer.
What would you like to do?
- Sign in to Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
- Choose your profile and then Account.
- Choose the Edit icon next to Email Address.
- Enter a new email address and choose Save. We'll send an email to your current email address.
Can't access current email? If you don't have access to your current email address, please contact us for help. - Check your inbox for an email from Max (email subject: Please confirm email address change). This email should arrive within a few minutes. Didn't get the email?
- Open this email and choose Confirm Change.
Your email address is updated (sign in on all devices with your updated email address).
- Sign in to Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
- Choose your profile and then Account.
- Choose the Edit icon next to Password.
- Enter your current password. Can't update password?
If you don't know your password, you can reset your password instead. - Enter a new password and choose Save.
Your password is updated and your account is signed out of all devices. Now, sign in to Max with your new password.
- Sign in to Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
- Choose your profile and then Account.
- Choose the Edit icon next to Mobile Number.
- Enter your mobile number and choose Verify Mobile Number. You'll get a text message with a verification code.
Need help? Go to Troubleshooting. - Enter the code from the text message and choose Save.
Now, sign in to Max with your new mobile number.
- Sign in to Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
- Choose your profile and then Account.
- Choose the Edit icon next to Name.
- Enter a new first and last name and choose Save.
Troubleshooting
If you get this message, it means the mobile number you entered is invalid or doesn't match what we have for your account. To resolve this, try retyping your mobile number.
If you didn't get a text message with a verification code, go back and repeat the Change mobile number steps. If you still need help, please contact us.
If you get this message, it means the password you entered doesn't match what we have for your account. To resolve this, try the following:
- Retype your current password (choose the Eye icon to reveal your password as you type it).
- Reset your password. To do this, go to max.com/forgot-password and enter your account email.
Need help? Go to Can't reset password.
If you didn't get a confirmation email from max@service.max.com, try these things:
- Search all inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam) for an email from Max (email subject: Please confirm email address change).
- Try the Change email steps again with a different email address. Your new account email can't be associated with another Max (or HBO GO) account.
